About the Role As our Financial Controller, you’ll be integral to managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting. You'll oversee budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, playing a vital role in our continued growth and success. This position requires a proactive leader who can navigate challenges and implement effective financial strategies. Key Responsibilities • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budget preparation process, analyze variances from the budget, and consult with relevant departments to address discrepancies. • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies. • Internal Controls: Design and implement effective financial controls to reduce risk and ensure data integrity. • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor members of the finance team, promoting a culture of efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement. • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to align financial goals with business strategy, providing insights and recommendations grounded in financial analysis. Requirements • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred. • Experience: 5 years of experience in financial management, including 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the fintech sector. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems, Excel); experience with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS). • Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and compliance regulations. • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams. • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex financial data. • Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to present financial concepts and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences.
