Machine Shop Team Leader : Late Shift

A GBP 21.00 per hour
Full Time Permanent 39 hours per week
Working Hours
Late Shift:
* Monday : Wednesday: 3:30pm : 2:00am
* Thursday: 3:30pm : 1:00am
Our client, a well:established and growing manufacturer, is currently seeking an experienced Machine Shop Team Leader to join their production team based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with leadership experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a busy and well:organised manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the machine shop team during the late shift
* Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety procedures are met
* Operate and provide cover across key machinery including:
* Beam Saw
* Edgebander
* CNC Machines
* Allocate tasks and coordinate workflow across the team
* Monitor production progress and resolve operational issues where required
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety
* Coordinate production flow between machine shop, spray shop, and dispatch
* Support the training and development of team members
Requirements
* Previous experience working within a machine shop or woodworking manufacturing environment
* Hands:on experience with Beam Saws, Edgebanders, and CNC machines
* Experience with machinery such as Weeke, Biesse, Homag, or Morbidelli would be beneficial
* Previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A proactive and hands:on approach to leadership
* Ability to work effectively in a fast:paced manufacturing environment
