The Role To collaborate with the Lead Academy Recruitment Analyst to help achieve the goals and vision of the Academy Recruitment Department. Play a key role in identifying and highlighting top talent across various age groups to THFC, contributing directly to the Academy’s recruitment processes. Support the club’s recruitment strategy by delivering detailed reporting, data insight and in depth presentations throughout all levels of the Academy. Key Areas of Responsibility Talent ID Generate new detailed knowledge on players by reporting on approximately 5-8 games via video per week using the club’s bespoke scouting templates. Conduct research into players’ career biographies, injury histories & their character to provide potential insight into the lifestyle of potential acquisitions. Manage video exchange partnerships and increase coverage of games through sharing of footage and networking. Performance insight Produce data-driven insights using the club’s OPH platform to inform player long/shortlists for target positions. Contribute to detailed player profile dossiers using knowledge and market intelligence to support an evidence-based approach. Create in-depth presentations and comparative analysis on shortlisted players incorporating positional information aligned with the club’s profiling requirements. Cross-departmental collaboration Oversee and coordinate a team of video scouts, assigning appropriate games each week and track coverage using the Academy scouting database to allocate matches effectively. Review scouting reports and provide constructive feedback with a focus on accuracy and consistency to support the development and training of video scouts. Utilise insights to assist local and national recruitment teams, working collaboratively to identify and monitor targeted teams and players. What you will bring Essential – Qualifications and Skills Experience of working in professional football and an understanding of best practice within scouting. Undergraduate degree in a sports related course. FA Talent ID Level 2. Excellent observational skills and an eye for identifying talent. IT literate across all required platforms (Office, WyScout, Hudl). Strong organisational and effective time management skills. Ability to deal with day to day issues on own initiative. Experience of working to deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Desirable Requirements – Qualifications and Skills Postgraduate degree in a sports related course.
