McBride Sport has been retained by a leading and highly respected organisation within the sports industry to identify and attract exceptional candidates for the position of Head of Partnership Sales. This is a key leadership role within the commercial function, responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition and development of strategic brand partnerships. The successful candidate will lead a talented team of partnership, marketing, and brand sales professionals while maintaining a hands-on approach to new business generation. Key responsibilities include:
* Lead and inspire a partnerships and sales team, ensuring clear commercial objectives and accountability.
* Develop and execute the partnership sales strategy to deliver sustainable revenue growth.
* Proactively identify and secure new commercial partnerships with national and global brands.
* Work collaboratively across marketing, brand, and activation teams to deliver compelling partnership propositions.
* Represent the organisation externally, fostering long-term, high-value relationships across the sport and brand landscape.
* Report to senior leadership on sales pipeline, performance, and commercial opportunities.
We are looking to identify sales focussed, professionals from withing the sports industry with previous team management experience who can evidence the following:
* Proven track record in partnership or sponsorship sales within the sports, entertainment, or related industries.
* Strong leadership and people management experience – able to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
* Hands-on new business approach with a passion for building and closing high-value deals.
* Strategic thinker with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Well-connected within the brand and sponsorship ecosystem, with an understanding of market trends and brand objectives.
