Assembly Operator Job Description
Probe Test Solutions Limited (PTSL) is a leading provider of advanced probe card technology for the semiconductor industry. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a highly specialised environment.
The Assembly Operator will play a key role in the production of our new technology, assembling precision components and sub-assemblies into finished products. You will work under microscopes for extended periods, handle delicate materials, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
· Read and interpret product specifications, assembly instructions, and technical drawings.
· Assemble small, intricate components into sub-assemblies and finished products.
· Work extensively under microscopes with a high level of patience, precision, and attention to detail.
· Operate and monitor a range of assembly equipment.
· Perform basic testing, inspection, and quality checks.
· Record production data and complete manufacturing batch records accurately.
· Work with hazardous materials safely and in compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times.
· Pack finished goods with appropriate protective materials for shipment.
Skills & Experience
· Hands-on experience working with small components or detailed manual assembly.
· Strong manual dexterity and logical, methodical approach.
· Comfortable with working under microscopes.
· Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail.
· Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and technical drawings.
Desirable:
· Previous experience in the semiconductor industry.
· HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
· Background in mechanical/electrical engineering or precision assembly.
· CAD knowledge/experience.
· Experience working with hazardous materials in a manufacturing environment.
