Job Overview
We are looking for a Java Developer to design and build high-quality applications using Java/JEE and modern web technologies. You will develop application features, integrate systems, and apply best practices such as dependency injection, TDD, and CI/CD. Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain applications using Java/JEE and related frameworks.
* Build web components using Java frameworks.
* Apply enterprise practices including dependency injection, IoC, AOP, functional programming, and TDD.
* Implement data access, transaction management, and system integration.
* Contribute to DevOps practices such as CI/CD and automated testing.
* Work with teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Proficiency with Java/JEE development.
* Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring.
* Knowledge of web technologies (JSP/Servlets).
* Experience with dependency injection, IoC, AOP.
* Understanding of functional programming concepts.
* Experience with test‑driven development (TDD).
* Familiarity with data access frameworks (JPA/Hibernate or similar).
* Knowledge of transaction management.
* Experience with batch processing concepts.
* API development and integration.
* DevOps practices such as CI/CD, automation, Git‑based workflows.
* Debugging and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to deliver, coordinate, or own development tasks depending on experience.
* Valid right to work in the UK. Must be a resident living continuously in the UK for the last 10 years.
* Must be able to hold or gain a UK government security clearance.
