SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – ENVIRONMENT
POOLE
What you will be doing:
Join Galliford Try as a Senior Project Manager in our Environment Business, ideally based in or around Poole, with travel across multiple sites/projects.
You will work on Water Frameworks, delivering schemes mainly to the Water Industry, including Treatment Waste and Water projects, both Design and Build.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage project delivery outputs: programme, finances, health, safety, environment, and progress.
* Lead and develop staff, manage recruitment, and mentor junior team members.
* Interact professionally with client representatives.
* Understand NEC contracts and demonstrate commercial awareness.
* Oversee multiple projects to meet KPIs and PI targets.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Review RAMS, impact assessments, and legislation.
* Maintain safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Coordinate with clients, manage project teams, and ensure clear objectives.
* Assist with resource utilization and financial performance.
* Prepare performance reports and participate in reviews.
* Develop project programs, oversee design requirements, and liaise with departments.
* Lead in tendering and develop new opportunities.
* Coordinate procurement and site testing.
* Attend meetings and ensure proper documentation.
About You:
* Industry-related ONC/HNC/NVQ or equivalent.
* IOSH or CITB SMSTS, CSCS card.
* Experience with NEC contracts and water/sewage industries.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Strong team player, good time management, and communication skills.
* Proactive with a positive attitude and decision-making capabilities.
