Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer interested in opportunities on a contract basis, to be located in Reading
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute mechanical commissioning activities for complex engineering systems.
Review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications to develop test and inspection plans.
Conduct functional and performance testing, inspections, and system verifications.
Identify and resolve mechanical or system integration issues in collaboration with design and project teams.
Maintain accurate commissioning records, test data, and handover documentation.
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and quality management requirements.
Provide technical input during project meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience in commissioning, installation, or maintenance of mechanical or building services systems.
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and test procedures.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
