Known for their excellent standard of care and genuine dedication to their patients, this practice is looking for a veterinary surgeon with a special interest in exotic animals to join their experienced and supportive team. The practice itself is modern, spacious, and fully equipped to provide outstanding care for a wide range of species. Facilities include separate dog, cat, and exotic wards, digital and dental X-ray, a high-quality ultrasound machine with smaller probes for exotic pets, and endoscopy systems. With specialist dental equipment and a dedicated exotics ward, the team is well-prepared to treat everything from furry friends to feathered or scaled companions. The practice also holds cat-friendly clinic status and has cultivated a calm, compassionate environment for both clients and their animals. You’ll be working alongside a talented and passionate team, including a lead vet who holds a certificate in small animal surgery and has a strong interest in endoscopy and exotic medicine, as well as a practice manager with a special interest in nutrition and exotics. The wider team includes experienced nurses and client care professionals who all share a genuine love for what they do. This is a permanent, full-time role of 40 hours per week over four days, with 1 in 3 half weekends. However, part-time applications are very welcome and there is flexibility for the right candidate. The ideal person will be RCVS registered, confident in working with exotic species, and able to demonstrate high clinical standards, excellent communication, and strong teamwork. Leadership skills or an interest in developing them would be an added bonus.
