As part of our continued growth in service, we are expanding our team and seeking a committed Assistant SENDCo & Provision Lead to help us deliver even greater outcomes for our pupils at Acorn Park School, located in Norwich.
About the Role
This role is instrumental in raising standards of achievement for pupils with varied and complex needs across all curriculum areas.
Working closely with the SENDCo, you will take operational leadership of SEND provision within the education team. You will collaborate with teaching staff, senior leaders, and the Clinical Lead to provide expert support and advice—ensuring students’ individual needs are met and barriers to learning are overcome.
You will also be responsible for leading EHCP annual reviews, supporting individual students and small groups, and contributing to the delivery of targeted provision.

Key Responsibilities
5. Act as operational lead for SEND provision within the education team
6. Support inclusion across the school in collaboration with the SENDCo and other key staff
7. Lead and manage EHCP annual reviews
8. Deliver and support targeted interventions for students
9. Provide specialist support and guidance to staff to meet individual pupil needs
10. Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to support learners
Requirements
11. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
12. Degree or equivalent
13. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
14. Experience delivering or supporting provision such as Lego Therapy, Precision Teaching, or Emotional Literacy
15. Ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, families, and external professionals

Acorn Park is a school for 160 pupils, who all have a primary diagnosis of Autism. We run two curriculum pathways – Formal and Semi-formal. Our Complex needs pupils are on the Semi-Formal Pathway which is highly personalised from their EHCP. We have a mixture of Day and Residential pupils as we have 8 co-located pupil’s homes on our 30 Acre site in rural Norfolk. On site, we also have a large Forest School and Animal Care Farm along with play facilities, a sports hall and sensory rooms.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. We are a leading provider of education for neurodivergent young people and young adults.
