Position reports to: Director of Solutions
This role is intended to be an early career role – 2 – 4 years’ experience with room to grow and learn on the job.
Your Responsibilities:
* Be a subject matter expert in the ZONTAL Platform and its customer use-cases.
* Analyze business requirements for customer-facing projects, with emphasis on data flows and data formats as they feed into & out of the ZONTAL Platform.
* Create functional and design specifications for the proposed solution, focusing on overall Platform architecture and configuration, data pipelines, and parser design and functionality.
* Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Product Owners, Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Test Engineers to build and deploy solutions.
* Work with customers to conduct SIT, user acceptance testing, and other associated testing modalities.
* Transition solutions to Operations and Support at the conclusion of Professional Services projects.
* Assist in implementing tools, methodologies, and frameworks to streamline the delivery process of the ZONTAL platform and associated pipelines, applications, and parsers.
* Collaborate with colleagues both within Professional Services and across ZONTAL to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
* Provide customer feedback surface customer sentiments to improve ZONTAL's delivery effectiveness through process and product optimizations.
* Work with the Documentation team to help create customer-specific training materials. Deliver the associated trainings to customers.
* As a member of the Professional Services team, contribute to achieving ZONTAL’s financial goals and customer satisfaction.
* Ensure customer satisfaction through excellence in communication and quality.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in computational biology, solution architecture, product development, systems integration, or similar roles, preferably in the life sciences. Laboratory experience with sufficient computational analytics experience will be considered.
* Proficiency in analyzing functional and technical requirements, data flows, and data formats.
* Experience creating functional and design specifications for platform architecture, data pipelines, and/or parser functionality.
* Familiarity with data integration techniques and ETL processes.
* Basic proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and data transformation tools.
* Understanding of RESTful APIs and data exchange formats (e.g., JSON, XML).
* Proven ability to work cross-functionally with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Impeccable interpersonal skills to drive customer projects forward and deliver high quality outcomes
* Ability to work with a diverse team across many time zones.

An ideal candidate has:
* Experience working directly with customers in a B2B enterprise software environment.
* Experience in transitioning solutions from project deployment to operational support.
* Experience working with common life sciences data acquisition software, such as Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS) or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
* Hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and data parsing.
* Familiarity with cloud service models, SaaS infrastructure, and related SDLC.
* Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
