SEMH Teaching Assistants x2 Long-Term Full-time | DE1 | Secondary Age | Immediate Start We are looking for two compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a highly supportive specialist setting in the DE1 area. This long-term role is ideal for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference to young people who face barriers linked to anxiety, social, emotional and mental health needs. ?? About the Role You will be working with small groups of secondary-aged pupils who require additional emotional and learning support. The environment is calm, nurturing and structured to help pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn. Your role will include: Supporting pupils with anxiety and SEMH-related challenges Encouraging engagement and helping them to attend lessons Providing learning support within the classroom and small-group settings Building positive, trusting relationships with young people Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams ?? What Were Looking For Experience or awareness of SEMH, trauma-informed practice or behaviour support A calm, patient and empathetic approach Ability to build rapport and offer consistent encouragement Someone who can remain positive and solution-focused Experience with secondary-aged pupils is desirable ??
