Vox consultants are currently for a HVAC technician for one of our clients within the Manchester area. This role is Monday to Friday - 37.5 hour weeks.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, diagnose, and repair faults in ventilation, plant, and control systems.
* Carry out risk assessments and ensure work complies with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and health and safety standards.
* Investigate equipment failures and complete appropriate remedial actions.
* Install minor works, coordinate with other trades, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
* Liaise with contractors to ensure safe and compliant working practices.
* Support and guide colleagues while developing skills through training.
* Communicate effectively with staff and follow operational and safety procedures.
Skills and Experience
* Strong knowledge of safe systems of work related to HVAC, control systems, and general construction.
* Ability to identify faults, analyse issues, and implement solutions.
* Experience contributing to design and build projects.
* Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and safe isolation procedures.
* Mechanical engineering qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent).
* Self-motivated, confident, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Experience using facilities management or building information systems is desirable.
