As part of your role, you will:
12. Provide teaching and support to pupils with Autism, following individualised curriculums
13. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and activities, focusing on life skills
14. Support pupils' participation in trips, applying theory-based learning to practical situations
15. Provide behaviour based support to reduce behaviours that impact quality of life
16. Assist with personal care, encouraging pupils to maintain acceptable levels of hygiene (toileting, feeding)
17. Monitor pupil progress and ensure teaching is appropriate and effective for their needs
18. Assist with break time duties, including playground support and snack time
Desired skills and capabilities:
19. Minimum Grade C/4 or equivalent in English Language & Maths
20. Professional, personal, or voluntary experience working with children with disabilities
21. Comfortable working with children who exhibit challenging behaviour
22. Ability to provide support with personal/intimate care when required
23. Capacity to remain calm in high-pressure situations
24. Own means of transport, due to location
