Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly / Electro-Mechanical Integration)

About the role
Were looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support the assembly and integration of complex electro-mechanical products, working across unit build through to full system integration.
Youll be hands-on in a highly regulated, low-volume manufacturing environment, translating engineering designs into clear, repeatable manufacturing processes and supporting production to deliver right-first-time builds across multiple programmes.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, production and quality, offering exposure to technically challenging products and structured manufacturing practices.
What youll be doing
Supporting electro-mechanical and electronic sub-assembly through to full system builds
Troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues on the shop floor
Developing, commissioning and validating tooling and fixtures to support production
Supporting industrial validation activities, including FMEA and First Article Inspection
Translating design intent into clear Manufacturing Instructions and build documentation
Maintaining route cards and supporting rework and configuration changes
Supporting Non-Conformance activity, including investigation and resolution using SAP
What were looking for
Engineering background
Youll have a recognised engineering qualification gained through one of the following routes :
Advanced / Level 3 Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Apprenticeship
OR
Level 3 academic qualification (ONC / Diploma or equivalent)
AND
Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)
(NVQ not required if a Level 3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved)
OR
Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
Equivalent or combined qualifications gained through industry experience will also be considered.
Skills & experience
Experience producing clear Manufacturing or Build Instructions for operators
Background supporting electro-mechanical or electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environment
Hands-on knowledge of assembly processes, ideally involving small or miniature mechanisms
Experience working in a structured or regulated manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, production and quality
Comfortable working to defined processes, procedures and configuration control
