What you would do as our 1st Line IT Support Technician
As a 1st Line IT Support Technician, you will provide technical support to internal users, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents and requests while delivering exceptional customer service in line with ASSA ABLOY’s standards.
* Act as the first point of contact for IT support via ServiceNow, walk‑ins, phone, and email — logging, triaging, and resolving incidents in line with SLAs.
* Provide technical assistance across all sites (on site and remote), supporting Windows 11, Office 365, business applications, and hardware such as laptops, printers, mobiles, and desktops.
* Deliver executive‑level IT support with professionalism, discretion, and rapid response to minimise operational disruption.
* Manage new starter processes, including device provisioning, account setup, and delivering IT inductions to ensure smooth onboarding.
* Maintain accurate documentation, support user account management via ADX and Entra ID, escalation of complex issues, and contribute to knowledge base and service improvements while ensuring security and GDPR compliance.
The Skills And Experience You Need
* Experience in 1st line IT support within fast‑paced, customer‑focused environments, with strong communication skills & professionalism.
* Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows OS, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint) and familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange Online, and remote support tools.
* Skills in using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, with an understanding of ITIL principles and service‑management best practices.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Commitment to growth and continuous learning; relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals) are desirable.
