Overview
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Chargehand to join our Voids team, based in Banbury. Working with a team of Operatives and as a working charge hand you will be responsible for providing repairs on void properties. The role will include a company van and power tools and training will be provided as and when required.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the daily management of a team and overseeing repairs and refurbishment of properties, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard
* Inspecting works completed to ensure these represent value for money e.g. efficient use of materials
* Ensuring Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed on site, maintaining compliance
* Ordering materials, and liaising with suppliers
* Ensuring works are completed to KPI targets and financial recovery for completed void works
* Responding to emergencies and assisting with complaints
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical or Plumbing Level 3) – candidates must bring original certification verifying proof of their qualifications
* Significant social housing experience
* Good communication, interpersonal and customer care skills
* Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
* Basic skills in use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word
* Full valid UK driving licence – role involves driving on company business
