About Rosemaund Farm Whisky
Rosemaund Farm is a historic Herefordshire distillery brought back into family hands. Now, it is embarking on a new chapter as an independent English whisky house. Our vision is to craft whiskies rooted in place- honest, adventurous, and unmistakably English in character.
This year, we launched our inaugural release, a ballot programme of just 2,500 bottles, which sold out within days. In 2026, distillation begins again at Rosemaund Farm, with our cask programme and limited-release bottles building a loyal community of whisky enthusiasts in the UK and abroad. Alongside whisky making, our Wild Kitchen and distillery experiences allow visitors to immerse themselves in farm-to-glass whisky culture.
We're looking for a Distillery Operative to join the team as we grow.
The Role
Reporting to the Distillery Manager, you will play a key role in our annual distillation campaign and wider operations across the distillery. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone passionate about whisky and eager to get stuck in - from the stillhouse to cask warehouses, and from bottling lines to leading tours.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the annual distillation campaign - from beer wash intake to cask filling.
* Recording data from every run to ensure accurate tracking of yield, efficiency, and quality.
* Working with the Distillery Manager and Master Blender on upcoming releases and cask tastings.
* Supporting cask sourcing with suppliers and exploring new maturation styles.
* Carrying out weekly compliance checks across the site, including cask quality checks.
* Assisting with bottling – filling, labelling, and preparing orders for shipping.
* Delivering tours and tastings for visitors, particularly outside of distilling season.
* Supporting hospitality events at our Wild Kitchen, from hosting to guiding guests through tastings.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has experience in distilling, brewing, or another production environment (desirable, but training can be provided).
* Is detail-oriented with a passion for maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
* Enjoys working both independently and as part of a minor, collaborative team.
* Is flexible and happy to lend a hand across different parts of the business - from production to hosting tours.
* Has a genuine enthusiasm for whisky, sustainability, and sharing stories with visitors.
* Must hold a valid driving licence.
What We Offer
* The chance to be part of a pioneering English whisky distillery at an exciting moment of growth.
* Hands-on training across distilling, maturation, bottling, and compliance.
* Opportunities to be involved in new product development and limited releases.
* A role that blends production with hospitality - no two days are the same.
* Competitive salary, depending on experience.
