Senior Quantity Surveyor Permanent

A1 Personnel are partnering with a leading construction solutions provider delivering projects across Demolition, Enabling, Civil Engineering & Groundworks, Temporary Works. We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their team on a permanent basis.
About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the finances and contractual relationships of construction projects. You will ensure projects remain profitable, budgets are accurately controlled, and all contractual obligations are met. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, legislation, and excellent negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Control and manage project costs, ensuring profitability
Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts
Analyse project financial performance and report trends
Manage subcontractor works commercially
Liaise with clients, design teams, and subcontractors on a daily basis
Maintain contract documentation and advise on post-contract matters
Negotiate and agree sub-contractor contracts and valuations
Price and forecast materials required, tracking design/construction changes
Support site teams with take-offs and project awareness
Requirements:
5 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent, including Maths (Science, IT, Law, Geography, or Design Technology beneficial)
BTEC, HNC/HND, or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Studies, or Building Management (industrial placement advantageous)
Minimum of 3 years experience managing elements of construction projects
Membership or eligibility for membership with RICS is desirable
Strong numeracy, organisational, and negotiation skills
Proficient in IT and construction management software
