We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motorcycle MOT Tester to join our team. Mechanical Experience with a motorcycle driving license will be considered. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at using both hand and power tools. As an Motorcycle MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Salary Negotiable depending on experience.
*Duties*
* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with legal requirements.
* Inspect vehicle components such as brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and issues.
* Perform necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure vehicles pass inspection.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections and repairs performed.
* Communicate findings clearly to customers and provide recommendations for necessary work.
* Ensure the workshop is kept clean and organized at all times.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations while working.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
* Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
* A valid Motorcycle's MOT testing licence is preferred but not essential for the right candidate willing to undergo training.
* Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
