You will be responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 20 hygiene operatives, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, compliance, and site hygiene are maintained at all times.This is a key role within the operation, working closely with Production, Quality, and Health & Safety teams to support a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage, lead, and develop a team of around 20 hygiene operatives across all shiftsPlan, coordinate, and oversee daily and weekly cleaning schedules for the production siteEnsure all hygiene activities meet company standards, customer requirements, and relevant legislationMaintain compliance with health & safety regulations, including COSHH (where applicable)Conduct hygiene audits, inspections, and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions as requiredTrain, coach, and assess hygiene staff to ensure competency and consistent performanceManage cleaning chemicals, equipment, and consumables, ensuring safe use and effective stock controlLiaise with internal departments to minimise production disruption and support operational efficiencyInvestigate and resolve hygiene-related issues, incidents, or non-conformancesAbout youProven experience in a hygiene or cleaning management role within a production, manufacturing, or industrial environmentExperience managing and motivating teams, ideally of 15 staffStrong knowledge of hygiene standards and health & safety requirementsExcellent organisational, leadership, and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage priorities in a fast-paced environmentCompass Group UK&I is committed to fostering an environment where every individual can truly be themselves at work and has equal opportunities to advance in their careers.
