My client is currently recruiting for an Asset Manager on an interim basis. The role will be based in Kensington with flexibility of hybrid working available. The purpose of this role is to provide leadership to carry out the objectives of Capital Projects for services such as Housing Needs, Children’s and Adult and Social Care. They will also provide support to the Social Investment & Property senior management team’s production of Asset Management Plans, Property Strategy and Capital Strategy through a robust programme of asset challenge and reviews. Main duties include: To lead development of the clients capital project and asset management business cases, options appraisals and feasibility, using technical expertise, to unlock development/remodelling/refurbishment opportunities, improve utilisation efficiencies across the portfolio, ensure that the right services are in the right buildings in the right location, and release potential disposal opportunities, whilst maintaining the quality of services provided from the buildings. To provide technical advice and expertise on complex property issues, arising from projects to ensure informed decisions are made on the management of and investment in the clients property assets using the principles established in the asset strategy. To ensure there are fair, transparent and consistent processes and guidance in place for the client for undertaking and assessing options appraisals, feasibility (including use of Net Present Value for cost/benefit analysis) and business cases and value for money on any proposals or projects that involve property ensuring compliance, rigour, due diligence and best practice. To challenge the use of assets across the business and the utilisation of space by services and their partners and ensure it is suitable and sufficient for the purpose of use, with the aim of improving the efficiency of the estate and identifying opportunities for income generation / cost savings. To, as required, use technical expertise to negotiate terms for acquisitions and disposals of land and property, provide valuation and property management advice on all types of land and property to ensure delivery of the Strategic Asset Management Plan. Essential criteria Experience of working with domestic housing stocks and a clear understanding of the key principles of asset management within social housing Significant experience of undertaking feasibility studies, options appraisals and completing robust business cases for utilisation, income, savings and service delivery Experience of corporate assets in varied use and service provisions Extensive knowledge of Landlord & Tenant, Planning and relevant Property legislation and legal and regulatory compliance For more information on this role please apply now.
