Leisure Attendant – Seven Towers Leisure Centre, Ballymena

Schedule: Monday to Sunday, including evenings and public holidays as required by the service
Seven Towers Leisure Centre is seeking reliable and motivated Leisure Attendants to support the delivery of a high‑quality leisure service for all customers.
About the Role
As a Leisure Attendant, you will work across all areas of the centre to ensure a safe, clean and customer-focused environment. You will assist with poolside supervision, facility preparation, customer service and general operations as directed by the Senior Leisure Attendant.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out poolside duties across the main pool, learner pool and leisure pool in line with NOP and EAP procedures.
2. Set up and dismantle equipment for activities, events and functions.
3. Supervise changing rooms, shower areas and other designated parts of the centre.
4. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility, using appropriate PPE and equipment.
5. Complete required documentation such as safety checks, cleaning schedules and incident reports.
6. Manage customer access by checking tickets and ensuring capacity and access policies are followed.
7. Provide a high level of customer care, resolving queries and supporting centre users.
8. Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report faults as required.
9. Support lessons, coaching sessions, events and activities, including those involving individuals with additional needs.
10. Assist with training and development of new staff and work placements.
11. Support event stewarding duties and opening/closing procedures.
12. Provide assistance to wheelchair users entering and exiting the building.
13. Comply fully with child protection and safeguarding requirements.
14. Ensure adherence to all health and safety, COSHH and council policies.
15. Participate in staff training and maintain required qualifications such as NPLQ and first aid.
16. Carry out duties as required at other council sites when necessary.
17. Undertake any other responsibilities appropriate to the role.

Essential Criteria
25. Current lifesaving qualification (minimum National Pool Lifeguard Qualification – NPLQ).
26. Ability to pass a swim competency assessment.
27. Sufficient fitness level to perform all duties effectively.
