Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an Internal Sales and Support Specialist to join our team.
Role Overview
This is an office-based role supporting the sales function and assisting customers with technical and commercial enquiries. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quotations, processing orders, sourcing tooling solutions, and supporting both customers and the external sales team.
Full training will be provided, and previous experience in a similar role or engineering environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
* Preparing quotations for standard and bespoke cutting tools
* Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
* Supporting external sales engineers with quotations and sourcing
* Sourcing tooling and components from approved suppliers and manufacturers
* Identifying alternative or replacement tooling based on customer requirements
* Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical information
* Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
* Coordinating with internal departments including purchasing, dispatch, and production
* Providing general internal sales and administrative support
Requirements
* Good communication and organizational skills
* Professional and proactive attitude
* Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in internal sales, customer service, or sales support
* Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment
* Familiarity with engineering or technical products
* Experience sourcing products or dealing with suppliers
Additional Background Welcomed
This role would particularly suit someone with experience working in machining or manufacturing who is looking to move from a shop floor position into an office-based role.
Practical knowledge of engineering processes and tooling can be highly beneficial, and full training will be provided to support the transition.
