Group Accountant
Belfast City Centre - Hybrid after probation
£35,000 - £40,000 (With yearly salary reviews)
36.25 hours per week – Flexibility on working hours

We are currently seeking to recruit a Group Accountant on a full time, permanent basis to be based at their HQ in their Belfast Centre Office.

Roles & Responsibilities;
* Partner with the Group Financial Director to elevate the company’s financial performance to new heights.
* Preparation of comprehensive management and statutory year-end accounts for all companies.
* Prepare dynamic half-year management accounts
* Take the lead on auditing company research grants with Innovate UK, showcasing our innovative edge.
* Conduct meticulous valuation and write-down of stock at year-end, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Strategically plan and distribute budgets, to ensure financial strategy is met.
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of statistical surveys, keeping us ahead of the curve.
* Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, expertly handling foreign currency transactions.
* Travel to subsidiary sites to perform thorough half-year and year-end stocktakes, ensuring precise cut-off procedures.
* Reconcile card payments with customer accounts.
What we are looking for;
* Ideally you will be a newly qualified accountant but part qualified may also be considered with extensive experience
* Able to demonstrate previous experience and/or knowledge in managing budgets, formulating management accounts, detailed understanding of basic sales ledger & purchase ledger processing, manufacturing processes and stock control
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Strong communication skills
* Problem solving skills
* Experience of Microsoft suite & strong ability within Excel.
* Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team
* Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude
