As Leadership and Talent Development Partner, you will be pivotal in helping us achieve this, as your role will facilitate the design, delivery and implementation of leadership and talent development programmes and initiatives, nurturing growth, development and exemplary leadership across HPFT.
Main duties of the job
Identify requirements, design, plan, commission or deliver evidence-based leadership and management development longer term programmes and short-term training for staff at all levels of the organisation, planned and published annually.
Utilise knowledge of the components of talent management and succession planning to operationalise the approach to Talent Reviews, talent pipelines and pools aligned to the Trust's appraisal framework.
Maintain a broad understanding of the tools and techniques associated with talent management and translate strategy into practical support measures to support our talented staff.
Work closely with the wider People and OD Directorate and other key leaders across the organisation to align the leadership and talent agenda with other key organisational priorities including workforce planning.
Use data analytics to inform decision making and programming interventions in terms of priority groups, underrepresented groups, and where there are workforce risks. Report analysis and trends through governance and performance groups across the Trust.
Partner with senior leaders across the Trust, in collaboration with Human Resources Business Partners, to ensure a consistent approach to managing and developing talent, succession and pipelines.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Masters level qualification or relevant degree and postgraduate qualification
* Specialist leadership and management or other related discipline qualification, education or training.
* Level 5 or 7 Coaching Qualification
* Evidence of continuing professional and managerial development
* Trained in the use of other formal leadership tools e.g., Belbin, MBTI, HLM 360-degree feedback
Experience
* Experience of establishing and managing leadership development programmes and training
* Experience in developing, implementing, leading and evaluating leadership and talent management strategies
* Experience in managing and/or commissioning apprenticeship schemes
* Experience of working effectively with internal and external stakeholder groups at all levels including executive and senior leadership teams
* Experience of negotiating and influencing others to act, including senior leaders
* Experience of collating, analysing and presenting a range of data and reports to facilitate decision making
* Sound understanding and knowledge of EDI issues in relation to Leadership and Talent Management
* Experience of project management
* Experience of multi-agency working and working in a fast-paced environment
* Experience or knowledge of the NHS Graduate Trainee Scheme
* Proven experience of planning and organising successful events
Skills
* An expert level of knowledge in leadership & talent management issues generally and in relation to NHS policy, and best practice
* Effective planning and project planning skills with the ability to set and work to personal, team and Trust deadlines
* Knowledge of the Growth and Skills Levy system and understanding of how organisations effectively utilise the levy to address skills shortages and improve workforce training.
* Analytic and strategic visioning skills to support analysis of Leadership and Talent Management solutions
* Produce reports on implementation and delivery of Leadership and Talent Strategy, including Growth and Skills Levy utilisation in line with Trust governance structure
* Looks to understand and maintain updated approaches to the 'talent management agenda' locally, regionally and nationally and an ability to look outside of healthcare for creative responses
* Knowledge of talent management principles, approaches and methodologies in order to support the development and performance of others, including coaching and mentoring
* Knowledge of how to recruit, develop, engage and motivated others
* Knowledge of NHS People Plan and wider NHS People agenda
