We are seeking a dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join the nurture unit of a welcoming secondary school in Oldham. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by providing tailored support to students who need it most.
The Role:
Work 1:1 with students, offering emotional, social, and academic support
Assist in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment
Get actively involved in lessons and school life
Support the class teacher with interventions and behaviour management
Encourage independence and positive engagement from students
Requirements:
Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (ideally in a school or nurture setting)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive, “hands-on” approach with the ability to engage and motivate
Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting students’ progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
