About the Physiotherapist role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Therapies Team and take part in the delivery of the clinical therapy service across the organisation, ensuring holistic, child and family centred care. You will work using your own initiative and as a team member.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate as a member of the hospice care team, implementing new and existing therapy programmes, monitoring these and adapting them in liaison with the young person, their family and home‑based therapist.
* Collaborate with other services providing care and support for the family.
* Support the education, training and development of other care team members, encouraging a reflective and evidence‑based approach to the therapy service through involvement in audit, policy & procedure and service development.
* Be flexible in your approach to work, with travel in our local communities and to both hospices to meet the needs of the children and their families.
Qualifications and Experience
* A degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
* Registered with the HCPC.
* Knowledge of the needs of children and young people with life‑limiting conditions and children’s palliative care.
* Ability to prioritise day‑to‑day clinical needs of the children and young people, utilising evidence‑based practice.
* Confident swimmer and ability to complete “Shallow water evacuation training.”
