Executive Assistant Based: Edinburgh The Scottish National Investment Bank is seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to the Chief Risk Officer & General Counsel and play a vital role in enabling the effective operation of the Governance, Legal, Risk & Compliance (GLRC) function. About the Role As an Executive Assistant, you will provide comprehensive, professional, and trusted support to the General Counsel. You will manage a complex and dynamic workload, handling diary planning, correspondence, travel coordination, departmental processes, reporting schedules, and supporting a range of governance activities. You will also assist with Board and Committee requirements, including the preparation and collation of papers, publication of meeting packs, and support with agendas and minutes. As this role is designated an FCA Conduct Rules Position, you will be required to comply with the FCA Conduct Rules and participate in mandatory training relating to the Bank’s Code of Conduct. Key Responsibilities · Provide expert diary management, forward planning and prioritisation to ensure the General Counsel’s time is used effectively. · Support departmental action plans, reporting schedules, and tracking key activities. · Assist with project management for initiatives assigned to the General Counsel. · Handle correspondence, drafting responses and ensuring timely communication with internal and external stakeholders. · Manage email and telephone queries, responding directly or delegating where appropriate. · Coordinate travel, accommodation, and expenses in line with Bank policies. · Maintain effective office systems, including data management and filing in accordance with GDPR and Bank policies. · Assist with Board and Company Secretarial activities, including meeting pack collation, filing papers, and supporting agenda and minute preparation. · Ensure compliance with the Bank’s regulatory and policy requirements. About You You will be a highly capable and confident professional with sound judgement, exceptional organisation skills, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will bring: · Proven experience supporting senior executives, ideally at Board level, in a fast-paced or agile environment. · Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational and interpersonal skills. · Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion. · The ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to tight deadlines. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · A proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to move matters forward independently. · Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. · A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build relationships across teams and functions. · A customer-focused approach and a high standard of professionalism.
