What’s the purpose of role: Supporting our business with the food costings for menu production. You will collate, present and distribute contractual menu information and will participate in the menu presentation process ensuring accurate detail of new menu requirements is captured. This role can be based at our London Heathrow or London Gatwick unit. Who you’ll deal with: Internal: Operational Service Delivery team, Unit Managers, Development Chefs, Unit Production Chefs, Compliance, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Sales and Commercial team External: Airline Customers What you’ll be doing: You will be expected to obtain, present and distribute all contractual menu information in a timely and professional manner. Oversee accurate cost build of product componentry within our airline customer menus to agreed specifications. You will ensure all costing data, specifications and pricing information is updated and maintained as required You will participate in the menu presentation process preparing any pre presentation menu costs and specifications. You will be required to record detailed notes ensuring any changes are captured including alterations to recipes and product dish weights. Photography of agreed meals will also be required. Support management on a day to day basis using airline account expertise and system reports to advise on key information such as loading charts, specifications and recipe build/methods You will use airline customer dedicated systems as required to obtain and/or upload menu, loading and pricing information as required You will cleanse and manage data and systems on an ongoing basis. We will assist with the management of product daily updates and support any procurement related initiatives with appropriate costings activity. What you’ll have: Good understanding of food and food production methods Computer literate with good Excel and Word skills Ability to adapt to different databases including in house systems Financial awareness and understanding of pricing policies including food cost and labour values Commercial and Contractual awareness Ability to multi task, work within strict time frames and meet deadlines High level of analytical and numerical skills, including attention to detail and accuracy, must be methodical, and logical in their approach to work Confidence to challenge data in pursuit of accuracy Flexibility to travel between catering units across the UK as required in order to support the business process
