Working as part of a team to build VA Technology systems and equipment from detailed engineering drawings, at our manufacturing facilities and at customer locations worldwide.
Reporting to Manufacturing Supervisor
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Construction of mechanical equipment.
* Installation of equipment at our customers’ locations worldwide.
* Fault finding and rectification.
* Leading small mechanical teams.
* Provide guidance and instruction within a team of fitters.
* Training and development of junior fitters.
* To be actively involved in task management.
* Navigation of VA Tech software to access part drawings and material requirements.
* Completion T&I and BQC sheets to confirm quality standards are met.
* Ownership of the designated build area to maintain acceptable housekeeping.
* Set standards and lead by example in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Ensure full adherence to Health & Safety requirements.
* Ensure completion of equipment daily check sheets and management of findings.
* Support off-site work with the above.
* Significant hands‑on experience of mechanical equipment, assembly, and machine building.
* Experience of using hand and power tools.
* MEWP & FLT qualification advantageous, training can be provided.
* Proven ability to deliver projects and solve problems.
* Competent in Microsoft office.
* Knowledge of SAP business software desirable.
* Demonstrated team management experience.
Qualifications:
* City & Guilds, ONC or HNC qualification in Engineering discipline.
