Senior Building Surveyor, Manchester\n\nSalary & Package Competitive \n\nThe role will involve covering the Manchester area, you will play a key role in supporting the Surveying team on a wide range of projects, mix of professional and project work including insurance work, primarily commercial buildings in all forms of construction.\n\nThis position provides a perfect opportunity for the successful candidate to show their ambition, drive and passion for customer service, as well as delivering our values, a professional manner and good interpersonal communication skills are essential.\n\nYou will be responsible for the following:\n\nInspect and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.\nInspections to involve acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations\nTo prepare reports, schedule of works and works specifications\nTo design and oversee works using recognised building contracts and to current technical standards.\nUndertake large value projects independently with sound knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services.\nTo understand and apply other relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations and planning.\nTo play an active part in promoting the company's services to secure projects and promote the Gateley Vinden brand.\nTo provide supervision and support to APC candidates to promote knowledge and understanding.\nAt all times to comply with the requirements of the Company's administrative, personnel procedures and Health & Safety regulationsCandidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:\n\nMust be MRICS Accredited or the desire to become MRICS Accredited\nExperience and extensive working knowledge of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning practices, and procedures supported by an awareness of the latest statutory requirements and technical publications.\nExperience in Defect Diagnosis and report writing\nInsurance repair project experience preferred\nExperience in working to deadlines and within budgets on large scale projects\nExperience and understanding of CDM Regs 2015, Party Wall and Building Regulation legislation\nSound mathematical, scientific and IT skills and the ability to think methodically to problem solve.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skillsServices advertised by Gold Group are those of an Agency and/or an Employment Business.\nWe will contact you within the next 14 days if you are selected for interview.
