We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant (TA3) to join our hardworking team at Thornham St. James. This role involves providing high-quality support to both teachers and pupils, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Initially, this post will be based in our Reception class and we would love to hear from those who are motivated to support our youngest children as the start the educational journey with us.
Should have experience of working within Early Years and engaging with parents, colleagues and other professionals to support the development of all pupils. As well as being able to work effectively as part of a team, you will need to be creative, show initiative and flexibility and be able to adapt teaching to enable all pupils to engage with the curriculum.

* Have experience working under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to support learning in both individual and group settings, in and out of the classroom.
* Have experience and a passion for Early Years provision.
* Can assist in the planning cycle, including preparing and organising resources to enhance learning.
* Are confident in supervising whole classes occasionally, maintaining good order and engagement.
* Can support pupils with specific learning needs, ensuring they access the curriculum effectively.
* Are proactive in promoting positive behaviour and keeping pupils on task.
* Are committed to the Christian ethos and values of the school.
