Seeking a Registered Manager to take responsibility for a one-bed children’s home in Barnsley.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be accountable for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered in line with legislation, Ofsted regulations and organisational policies.
You will lead and inspire a small team to provide safe, nurturing, and effective care tailored to the individual needs of young people.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing the home in line with legislation, Ofsted SCIFF and safeguarding standards

Leading, supervising and developing the staff team, including recruitment, training, rotas and appraisals
*
Overseeing admissions and discharges, ensuring positive transitions for young people
*
Maintaining accurate records, reports and monitoring systems
*
Managing budgets, expenses and ensuring the home environment is safe and well maintained
*
Acting as the key point of contact with external agencies, commissioners and professionals
*
Participating in on-call rota and, where necessary, covering shifts/sleep-ins
What We’re Looking For

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
*
Experience of managing a team in a children’s residential setting
*
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
*
Emotional resilience and the ability to support young people with challenging behaviour
*
Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills
*
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
*
UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
