We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented part time Tanning Consultant to join our very fast paced alloa salon. As a Tanning Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting tanning products and services, and ensuring a clean and safe tanning environment. This position is varied shifts and hours,and includes days, nights and weekends. Holiday cover and sickness cover is mandatory.
Due to meet local licensing we require a staff member of 18+
Duties:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the tanning salon
- Provide detailed information about tanning packages, lotions, and accessories
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate tanning equipment based on their skin type and desired results
- Operate tanning beds and ensure they are clean and properly maintained
- Educate customers on the importance of using protective eyewear and following safety guidelines
- Monitor tanning sessions to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to time limits
- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the salon including sanitizing tanning beds, in line with sunbed regulations wiping down surfaces, and restocking supplies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and product knowledge to provide informed recommendations to customers
Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of tanning equipment, lotions, and accessories is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for processing payments and maintaining customer records
