Small Works Security Engineer – Job Description Location: UK (Various Sites) Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Security Systems / Electronic Security Requirements: Must hold a valid ECS or CSCS card & be a fully qualified engineer About the Role We are seeking an experienced and qualified Small Works Security Engineer to join our team, delivering high-quality installation, commissioning, upgrades, and minor project works across a range of security systems. You’ll work on commercial, industrial, and high-security sites, ensuring systems are installed to the highest standards and fully compliant. Key Responsibilities Install, upgrade and commission electronic security systems including CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms. Carry out small works projects, remedial works and system modifications. Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently. Work across networked and IP-based security systems. Produce thorough documentation, commissioning sheets and reports. Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of works. Comply with all health & safety and site requirements. Essential Requirements Valid ECS or CSCS card (Security/Systems discipline preferred). Fully qualified security engineer with relevant electrical or electronic engineering background. Strong IP/networking experience, including switches, VLANs, PoE and network configuration. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team. Full UK driving licence.
