Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Oldham to recruit a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 support role starting in September 2025.

The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive teaching assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with social and emotional needs.
* The pupil occasionally exhibits low-level challenging behaviour but generally responds well to routine and positive reinforcement.
* While the pupil requires some 1:1 support, you will also be expected to contribute to general class-based TA responsibilities.
* This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or a graduate considering a future in education, psychology, or SEN.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support, ensuring the pupil's well-being and engagement in learning
* Assist in the implementation of the pupil's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and behaviour strategies
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons to meet the child's needs
* Promote positive social interaction with peers and support inclusion within the classroom
* Build strong relationships with parents/carers and provide regular progress updates
