Social Personnel is currently recruiting on behalf of Slough Children First, who are seeking dedicated Children Looked After Social Workers to join their committed and forward-thinking team.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Social Worker in the Children Looked After service, you will:
* Work with children and young people aged 0-18 whose care plans involve long-term care or adoption
* Build strong, trusting relationships to help them achieve stability and positive outcomes
* Manage a caseload of looked after children, creating care plans and conducting reviews, assessments, and statutory visits
* Support Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC), with training provided for conducting age assessments
* Collaborate with carers, other professionals and services to safeguard children and promote permanency

What You’ll Need:
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration (essential)
* Demonstrable post-qualified experience in a children and families team (essential)
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice in children’s social care
* Ability to plan, assess and intervene effectively with complex cases
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A driving licence and access to a car are desirable
