What You Will Do
As a Mechanical Craftsperson, you will play a key role in delivering high standards of maintenance, inspection, and fault resolution to support safe and reliable production. You will:
* Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment
* Diagnose and repair faults on plant equipment
* Provide mechanical expertise to improve plant performance and reliability
* Work in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
* Support the training of new team members
* Contribute to improvement activities and technical investigations
You will be working on equipment such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, and process machinery. You’ll interpret technical drawings and ensure all maintenance is completed to high engineering standards.
What You Will Need
You will ideally be qualified to HNC level, typically gained through a craft or modern apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. You should also have:
* Experience within a plant or heavy industrial environment
* A strong understanding of mechanical systems and safety protocols
* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* The ability to work independently and under pressure
* Good IT and communication skills
