Title: Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper Type: Temporary Hours: Full or Part Time (Monday - Friday) Location: Inverness Salary: £30,000 Details: Our client is looking to appoint a experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to be based in Inverness on a temporary basis for an initial period of 2-3 months. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build on their existing accounts experience in a busy environment offering the opportunity for continued professional development. Duties include: General bookkeeping duties. Sales and purchase ledger processing and reconciliation. Assisting with the calculation and submission of VAT returns. Petty cash and credit card reconciliations. Bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Assisting with financial reporting. Updating a range of spreadsheets and databases including MS Excel. Payroll and CIS filings. Updating and maintaining accurate financial records. Person Specification: Previous accounts/bookkeeping experience is preferred. Applicants must have an aptitude for learning and the desire to progress a career within an accountancy & finance environment. Ability to operate effectively with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong IT skills including MS office and financial software systems. Ability to pick up new skills quickly. A willingness to learn and undertake a range of training and development programmes is required.
