Overview
We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic, motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic Band 5 nurse to join our Mid Beds Community Nursing team. We welcome newly qualified nurses or someone looking for a new avenue to challenge them professionally. We are a friendly and supportive team committed to delivering quality care to people in their own home.
Responsibilities
The post is to join the Community Nursing Team in Ampthill, Shefford or Biggleswade. You will work closely with members of the MDT to deliver care to patients with complex needs. You will be involved in Urgent Response and Virtual Wards, which are a focus for our community teams. Training and support to gain competencies and skills will be provided. The service operates between 08:00 and 21:00 hours with a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays. A car driver and access to a car to carry out duties is essential. The post is permanent/full-time; part-time hours would be considered and can be discussed at interview.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Registered General Nurse
* Demonstrate evidence-based practice and up-to-date clinical skills
* Literate in IT/Computer Skills
* Knowledge of clinical governance
* Knowledge of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children
* Good oral communication skills based on fluency in English
Desirable
* Evidence of post-basic professional development
* Post-registration qualification in a relevant clinical field
* Relevant teaching/mentorship qualification or commitment to undertake
* Post-registration nursing experience, including community experience
Experience
* Evidence of and commitment to multi-professional working
* Understanding of the interface between primary and secondary care
* Comprehensive understanding of the roles of others in health and social care
Knowledge and Skills
* Knowledge of safeguarding principles and health promotion and prevention of illness
* Literate in IT/Computer Skills
* Knowledge of clinical governance
* Good oral communication skills
Other
* Current UK driving licence and access to a car
* Ability to travel across sites and Trust boundaries to meet patient needs
