Overview
Join Holcim UK, part of the global Holcim Group, a world leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions. We're looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Callow Rock site, ensuring our operations run efficiently and safely across this busy 24/5 manufacturing environment. You'll be working on a 3 shift rotation (0600 - 1400, 0800 - 1600 and 1400 - 2200) in our automated block plant.

Responsibilities
* Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and inspections across all site equipment.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring quick recovery and implementing permanent solutions.
* Support the development and implementation of safe working methods for all maintenance activities.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance work and equipment inspections.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping and promote a safe working environment at all times.
* Collaborate closely with the site management and operations teams to minimise downtime.
* Support and train operatives in basic maintenance activities.
Qualifications
* You'll be an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer, ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), with proven experience in welding, cutting, and fabrication.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A proactive approach with good planning and time management skills.
* A strong understanding of health and safety standards in an industrial environment.
* Flexibility to adapt to operational needs and respond to breakdowns quickly.
