Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality meals in a timely manner. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items on the grill, ensuring all dishes are cooked to perfection.
* Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in meal preparation.
* Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
* Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including marinating meats and chopping vegetables.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including regular cleaning of grill equipment and utensils.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
* Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred, particularly in grill cooking or similar roles.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* A team player who can communicate effectively with colleagues.
