Overview
The Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Advisor for the FCRMS Asset Management Business Systems Team. The role supports carbon management as part of achieving a Net Zero Carbon organisation, embedding carbon tools in infrastructure delivery and asset management, and ensuring these tools meet mandatory carbon assessment requirements for future asset reductions.
Responsibilities
* Support EA and external users of operational carbon tools.
* Manage and deliver a range of services to users of carbon tools.
* Agree and maintain services with diverse user groups.
* Act as a senior product user for digital improvement projects of carbon tools and data.
* Plan and manage user activities in the implementation of carbon tool changes and improvements.
* Manage resources and funding for carbon tools support and maintenance.
* Collaborate with operational carbon communities and national leads as required.
* Work with IT suppliers and EA colleagues, including FCRM, Operations teams across England and Defra’s Digital, Data and Technology Services (DDTS), Local Authorities, Water Companies, Internal Drainage Boards, and the civil engineering supply chain.
Team and Tools
The AMBST is part of the Digital, Data and Evidence team. We manage Asset Management IT Systems including AIMS PD PoL, PAFs, RMA Portal, FastDraft, Co-Space, Asite (BIM Document Management) and SBMT, providing system administration, user support and an advisory role on IT projects.
Experience/Skills Required
* Significant experience and knowledge in carbon management in infrastructure assets, projects or programmes.
* Experience in asset management and/or infrastructure business processes.
* Experience in digital tool development or user implementation services.
* Experience in development of training and documentation.
* Knowledge and skills in stakeholder engagement and effective communications.
* Ability to identify, analyse, evaluate, and implement improved ways of working.
* Ability to make decisions and solve complex business problems.
* Strong focus on efficiency, innovation, and quality.
* Strong focus on customers and partners and ability to build and sustain relationships.
* Ability to manage oneself and work on own initiative.

Additional Information
The role is predominantly office-based, but travel will be required occasionally. Any location for your office base is acceptable.
