Manager – Finance Transformation
Location: UK (Remote)
Type: Full-Time
Henderson Drake is working with a well-regarded consulting firm that is expanding its Finance Transformation practice and looking to appoint a Senior Manager to take ownership of complex, multi-workstream engagements. This is a leadership role in the truest sense, not a step up from delivery, but a position that requires you to operate at senior client level while maintaining the quality and coherence of everything beneath you.
You will work across process, technology, and operating model, engaging with finance functions that are at different stages of maturity and navigating transformation at different speeds. The ability to adapt your approach and bring clarity to ambiguous situations will be as important as your technical knowledge.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading end-to-end finance transformation programmes with accountability for delivery quality, stakeholder alignment, and commercial outcomes
- Working directly with CFOs and senior finance leadership to define target operating models and build the case for change
- Driving process transformation across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report — understanding the interdependencies across each
- Shaping and overseeing ERP and EPM-enabled transformation initiatives, including S/4HANA where relevant
- Identifying opportunities to improve data flows, reporting structures, and financial process efficiency across client organisations
- Managing multiple concurrent workstreams, balancing pace with rigour
- Developing junior team members through active coaching and day-to-day leadership on engagements
- Contributing to practice growth through business development activity and the continued development of the firm's finance transformation proposition
What You Will Bring
- At least seven years of finance transformation or advisory experience gained within a structured management consulting environment
- Deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes — P2P, O2C, and R2R — and how they interact across an organisation
- Broad exposure across ERP, EPM, and data transformation, with the ability to operate credibly across more than one technology domain
- Experience with S/4HANA, either in an advisory or implementation capacity, is highly desirable
- A track record of engaging at senior stakeholder level and managing the relationship dynamics that come with large-scale change programmes
- The leadership experience and presence to take ownership of programmes rather than simply contribute to them
- A consulting background with a clear progression into senior delivery and leadership responsibility
