This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to work on complex, high-value and often life-changing cases - from catastrophic injuries to high-value motor and casualty claims.As a Senior Solicitor within our Large Loss Team, you'll play a key role supporting the Lead Lawyer on some of the most challenging and rewarding cases in our portfolio, while managing your own caseload of claims typically valued between £100,000 and £250,000. You'll be part of a team that prides itself on collaboration, technical excellence and genuine career development.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Lead Lawyer to manage high court and catastrophic injury claims (including brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and fatal accident cases).Handle your own caseload of high-value complex injury claims, driving them from instruction to resolution.Engage directly with senior claims handlers at leading insurers - building strong, trusted relationships.Apply your analytical expertise to dissect complex medical and quantum evidence, identify key issues and shape expert strategy.Draft high-quality technical advice across indemnity, liability, quantum and causation.Conduct witness interviews, prepare statements, draft pleadings and attend conferences, mediations and Joint Settlement Meetings.Take an active role in mentoring and developing junior colleagues.Ensure case management systems are updated and compliant with LSNI regulations.Working Hours35 hours per weekMonday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.Primary location for this role is Belfast Office.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseYou'll be a qualified solicitor with a passion for high-quality litigation and a solid grounding in indemnity, liability and quantum.
