Research Assistant in Immersive Technology (AP12646) - Bath, BA2 7AYAbout the roleThe Department of Computer Science at the University of Bath are looking for a highly motivated individual to help with research in the area of immersive technology (especially VR and AR). The project aims to investigate novel immersive systems, focusing on systems that involve physiological sensing and physical activity, and explore their effects on users. This role involves supporting projects related to immersive technology through coordination, data collection, data analysis, contributions to write-up of publications, outreach and wider dissemination as well as other impact activities. The position will form part of a team of researchers, dedicated to creating the next generation of VR/AR experiences. As well as working within the team, you will collaborate with a number of industrial and academic partners to ensure that the solutions developed are relevant and that they will be adopted in the real-world. The ideal candidate should have experience with novel immersive systems, in particular systems that involve physiological sensing and physical activity, and exploring their effects on users.
