Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on various exciting projects around Birmingham, Norfolk and Oxford as well as other locations in the UK. You will report to a Director and be responsible for the successful delivery of their prestigious projects.

The Role
· Planning and management of several simultaneous projects, from conceptual stages through to the execution of the project.
· Planning, controlling and reporting on costs during the post contract phase.
· Travel to sites around the UK to review progress with the Site Managers - initially this will likely involve travel to Oxford one day per week and Norfolk one day per week. Going forward, most weeks will require one or two nights spent away.
· Liaising with clients at multiple levels, from site managers on a day to day basis to director level, within a variety of sectors.
· Reviewing RFI's with site manager on a weekly basis and providing assistance.
· Management of sub-contract valuation accounts and agreeing monthly valuations.
· Preparation and issue of monthly project valuations.
· Advising on betterment and regular liaison with the Loss Adjuster and Insured.
· Management of design team including preparation of procurement programmes for delivery of design information (Management Contracting).
· Buildability reviews of design information with Site Manager.
· Reviewing tender design drawings/specifications and ensuring the full scope of work is included in the respective trade package.
Requirements
· Pre & post Contract experience.
· JCT Contract experience (particularly Design & Build).
· Procurement & Management of numerous subcontract trades.
· High level of reporting skills.
· Ability to control set budgets.
· Ability and willingness to travel.
· Good communication skills and commercial awareness.
· Able to display previous experience with historic building experience ideally
