Job Title: Experienced FLT Warehouse Operative

Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 - 19:00
About the Role:
Barker Ross is seeking a reliable and experienced FLT Warehouse Operative to join our fast-paced operation. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond forklift operation, requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to all warehouse tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe forklift operation, order picking, and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate FLT equipment safely, including Counterbalance and Reach trucks (multi-directional experience desirable)
Assist with order picking, Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch,
Load and unload vehicles using FLT and manual handling techniques
Move, stack, and store stock in designated warehouse locations
Carry out stock checks and support inventory control
Perform daily FLT safety checks and report faults or damage
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
Comply with BRCGS (food & drink) and GDP (medicine) guidelines following training
Adhere to all health & safety, site procedures, and company policies
Requirements:
Current Reach and Counterbalance FLT license
Previous warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment
Experience using hand-held scanners
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking orders
Team player with a reliable, proactive approach
