Management Accountant Location: Flexible with 1 day per week in the office Permanent Closing Date: Friday 10th May Drax have an exciting new opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the Finance team and are looking for someone with relevant experience and is qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA with experience or newly qualified About the Role As the Management Accountant you'll be responsible for accurate P&L and Balance sheet postings and reconciliations for Opex across the UK, always achieving or beating reporting deadlines. Day to day you'll provide consistent, simple, and accurate monthly management information and reporting to allow senior management to monitor expenditure performance, understand variances, and support them in taking actions. You'll be responsible for identifying and driving process improvements, which includes standardising processes across the group and increasing efficiency throughout the month end process, with the aim of improving control over costs and suggesting and supporting action plans to improve performance. You'll develop and maintain regular, high-quality communication with the business's non-finance stakeholders in order to ensure key information flows occur on a timely basis, are well understood, and are refined where necessary. You'll also ensure information flows include business data required for finance and finance reports required by the business. About you You'll be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant. Ideally, you'll have experience in an accounting role in a medium/large company environment and experience with financial systems and a demonstrable commitment to simplification and automation of processes. Competent with MS Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. You'll be solutions focused and will be able to clearly identify process improvements and will be comfortable challenging the status quo to drive different results. Attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of accounting and financial reporting is essential.
